Joy Tsai, Piano Accompanist and Theory Instructor, holds Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in Piano Performance and received her Kodály music education training from Holy Names University. She performs regularly as a soloist and with ensemble groups and was the guest pianist performing Beethoven’s 3rd Piano Concerto in 2010, Mozart’s Concerto for Two Pianos in 2012, Beethoven’s Triple Concerto in 2014, and Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in 2016 with HNU orchestra. She was on the piano accompanist faculty at Ohlone College and piano faculty at Diablo Valley College and Holy Names University. She gives private piano lessons in her Pleasanton studio and is a member of the Music Teachers’ Association of California and a piano evaluator for its Certificate of Merit Program and continues her piano studies with Betty Woo. She enjoys her free time reading, cooking, baking, and doing crafts and arts with her niece and nephew and traveling with her family.
